DENVER (KDVR) — An athletic trainer at a gym in the town of Parker has been found guilty by a Douglas County jury of 12 charges, including six counts of sexual assault on a child.

The 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that Aaron Thomas Carrado, 51, was found guilty of the 12 charges after two athletes he coached testified against him, stating that he had repeatedly sexually assaulted two athletes between 2019-2022.

“The defendant was entrusted to train Olympic-level high school athletes. Instead, he violated and betrayed them, “said Chief Deputy District Attorney Danielle Jaramillo. “These courageous survivors have shown that no title, no position, and no power can shield a predator from justice.”
