NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - New Bern saw a lot of rain in a short amount of time Thursday afternoon, resulting in some flash flooding.
In the downtown area, police had barricades up om East Front Street as water piled up on the road.
WITN First Alert Chief Meteorologist Zach Holder says it looks like the New Bern area got between 4 and 5 inches of rain over the course of two to three hours.
According to city officials, the water has now receded, and there are no road closures.
