LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A man who pleaded guilty in connection with an incident where he violated a protection order and then jumped into a creek to avoid arrest was sentenced.
Joshua Gallimore was sentenced to 12 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of escape and violating a protection order as part of a plea deal in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court. He was also given credit for the 123 days he has already served.
The charges stem from an April 5 incident when deputies with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on East Liverpool Road about a protection order violation.
Gallimore was handcuffed but ran from officials, going so far as to jump into a creek to avoid arrest, according to police.
