MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) - A man from Sharon was sentenced Thursday in connection with vandalism at the local offices of Valley Congressman Mike Kelly.
Joe Monte Lemons Jr. was sentenced to two years of probation on charges of criminal mischief and harassment. He was also fined and must pay restitution for the damage.
Hermitage Police were called last month about spray paint and flyers taped to the windows of Kelly's office on East State Street in Hermitage.
According to reports, officers learned Joe Monte Lemons Jr. was bragging to co-workers about vandalizing the office because he was angry with the Trump Administration. When confronted, investigators say Lemons admitted to what he'd done and even showed officers the paint and brush he used, the report stated.
