STONE COUNTY, Mo. — A 16-year-old boy has died following a drowning at Table Rock Lake on Thursday, August 14.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) boat report, a 16-year-old boy from Panama drowned around 11 a.m. at Table Rock Lake at Little North Indian Creek in Kimberling City on Thursday.

MSHP says the drowning occurred when the boy was swimming between the docks on Table Rock Lake. The teen disappeared beneath the surface approximately 50 feet from the dock.

The Stone County Fire Department used a drone to locate the victim and was recovered by a diver, the report says.

The victim was pronounced deceased by a Stone County Deputy Coroner.

This is the fourth drowning for MSHP Troop D in 2025.
