BOISE, Idaho — Two 31-year-old men from Florida were arrested in Nampa on Monday on charges related to a scam involving counterfeit money.

Deyonta Larico Moore and Tomenual Lathelton Banks were arrested on numerous charges related to their alleged involvement in buying large quantities of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with counterfeit money and then returning them at another retail location for real money, the Nampa Police Department said .

On Monday, Aug. 11, Nampa Police said their property crimes detectives received information from the Boise Police Department about a traveling fraud group traveling in the Treasure Valley. It also received information from Home Depot staff who gave them the suspect's description and vehicle.
