BOISE, Idaho — A group of kayakers pulled a couple out of their car after they crashed and flipped it into the Payette River earlier this month.

On Sunday, Aug. 3rd, the Valenzuela family was travelling home to Caldwell from Cascade, after spreading their grandmother, Ellen Riley's ashes at her favorite campsite, Horsethief Reservoir Campground.

The celebration included Riley's daughter, Sonya Valenzuela, Sonya's six daughters, and additional family members.

"We ended up having a really nice ceremony and spreading Grandma's ashes," Sarah Valenzuela said. "Everything went so well. We had lots of family there, found some of her favorite fishing spots, and had a lot of pictures and stuff like that in remembrance of her."
