EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - You may have noticed that there are fewer orange barrels on US 41 between Diamond Avenue and the Lloyd Expressway.
“But if you’ve driven through here, you’ve probably noticed things are starting to look better,” Gary Brian, Director of Public Relations for the Indiana Department of Transportation Southwest said.
There’s just a few final touches left before US 41 is back to normal.
Starting Friday, INDOT crews will begin the last round of paving.
“If you’ve driven out here, you’ll notice there’s about this much between the curbing and some of the other things,” Brian said. “So we’re basically leveling up to that.”
Those with INDOT say they’re doing this to make the roadway smoother.
