JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- Police have arrested a Johnson County inmate accused of removing his GPS ankle monitor device after being placed on a work release earlier this month.

According to court documents obtained by FOX59/CBS4, 25-year-old Dayton Swain was placed on a Johnson County Work Release on May 1.

Online court records show that Swain was incarcerated after being preliminarily charged on Feb 24, 2023, in Johnson Superior Court 3 with two felony counts of theft and misdemeanor charges for resisting law enforcement, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
