CHANDLER, Ariz. — Hamilton High School is giving students a head start on a possible career in the semiconductor industry, which could end up being the next big business boom in Arizona.

Major chip manufacturers like TSMC and Intel have large-scale chip fabrication plants in the Phoenix area.

Hamilton High has launched a new semiconductor class to give kids a hands-on education about the field before they even graduate.

The class aims to expose students to real-world applications and situations within the tech industry.

"We're trying to expose them as much as we can to real-life situations, how this would work in real life," teacher Omar Munoz said.
