MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Many areas of New Hampshire have experienced dry conditions this summer.
Due to this, grass may not need to be mowed as much, and some patches are turning brown.
The Drought Monitor released its weekly map Thursday, showing parts of the state in moderate drought.
This includes areas of the Seacoast, Rochester and the Mount Washington Valley. The rest of the state is categorized as "abnormally dry."

Since June 1, Concord is down more than 5 inches of precipitation, with higher deficits in the certain spots.

While widespread rain would help, the forecast calls for only scattered showers and storms over the next week.
