Metal iconic band Megadeth is preparing to close a chapter in its storied 40-year history, as frontman Dave Mustaine announced Thursday that the band’s next studio album will be the last, Billboard is reporting.
The announcement, delivered through the band’s YouTube channel and social media platforms, featured Mustaine’s alter ego, Vic Rattlehead, delivering the news from behind a desk.
“For over four decades, I’ve been chained in silence, but the end demands my voice,” Vic declared in the video, confirming the band’s plans for its final studio album and farewell world tour.
