CINCINNATI —

Five of the six people indicted in last month's downtown assault appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom, where prosecutors and defense attorneys presented conflicting narratives about the incident.

Assistant Prosecutor Kip Guinan said those defendants "told them (victims) they were at the wrong corner, at the wrong party, and that they were going to make sure that they got off that corner, and that's what they did."

Matthews' attorney, Brandon Fox, countered by claiming that some of the victims went to the corner looking for a fight and began kicking Matthews' car.
