KILLEEN, Texas — Investigators are asking for public assistance to find a suspect reportedly driving a black Nissan Rogue involved in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Saturday, Aug. 9.

The Killeen Police Department says officers were called to a crash in the 1100 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop involving one victim. Officers found the person, a 68-year-old man, lying in the roadway with multiple injuries. He was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in serious but stable condition.

An early investigation revealed the man was attempting to cross Stan Schlueter Loop from south to north when the black Nissan Rogue hit him. The driver did not stop nor attempt to help the victim, instead choosing to drive away.
