MIDDLETON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District is looking for some help getting students to and from school, field trips and athletic events.
The district says its still searching for some bus drivers, but say the recruiting process has been going well.
Mike Hamstra, transportation director with MCPASD says it is a hard job to recruit for because it typically requires a part-time schedule and a split day.
Hamstra added that drivers can help kids get into the right frame of mind for the school day.
“Bus drivers are the first people that see kids in the morning. They’re the last people that see kids at the end of the night,” he said. “It’s a great way for bus drivers to kick off a kid’s day the right way.”
