MELROSE, Fla. (WCJB) - Wildflowers Music Park is one step closer to becoming a reality, but some people want to silence the music before it begins.
A 270-acre piece of land in Melrose, purchased on August 1st, is making way for Wildflowers Music Park, with the hope of holding winter festivals.
“There are lots of places for them to party. This is an agricultural zone,” shared farmer Brandie McKinney.
“The good thing about us doing it in February is wildlife, particularly ones we’re concerned about, gopher tortoises and stuff, they’re essentially hibernating,” said Robert Hutchinson, manager of the music park.
Hutchinson is a former county commissioner and says this site will be a park when not hosting events. But some people like McKinney are upset this venue is even allowed because the
