GEORGETOWN, Texas (KWTX) - A Georgetown police officer was arrested on a third-degree felony charge after authorities said he engaged in sexual activity with a woman while on duty earlier this month.

On Aug. 6, 2025, the Georgetown Police Department said it received a complaint alleging that Officer Dylan Wright engaged in sexual activity with a female victim during a call for service on Aug. 1 while on duty, according to a social media post .

Officials said the incident occurred after the victim’s boyfriend was arrested on a family violence charge.

The department called the complaint an “egregious violation of the values of the Georgetown Police Department” and immediately placed Wright on administrative leave on Aug. 6 pending the results of an internal investigation.
