CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) - Clemson University placed three fraternities on probation after hazing incidents were reported during the spring 2025 semester.

Kappa Sigma, Sigma Nu, and Phi Delta Theta are facing disciplinary action, with probation periods extending to 2027, 2028, and 2029 respectively.

"The university takes all reports of hazing within student organizations very seriously and students are expected to uphold high standards of behavior," a university spokesperson said.

Organizational conduct case files detail the hazing behaviors that led to the probation of these fraternities.

Kappa Sigma is accused of forced food consumption, sleep deprivation and requiring personal servitude of new members.

Sigma Nu reportedly forced pledges to lay face down on the floor.
