WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - On the 90th anniversarry of the Social Security program, President Donald Trump signed a proclamation highlighting his administration’s efforts to preserve the fund.
The Social Security Board of Trustees projects the fund will only able to pay out full benefits for the next nine years, with a reduction beginning in 2034.
The Old Age and Survivors Insurance from the fund is set to become depleted in 2033.
Trump said his administration is helping the cause. The White House said they have removed 275,000 undocumented immigrants from the system and removed 12.4 million names more than 120 years old from the database.
