LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – As Republican Representative Derrick Van Orden visited La Crosse for a Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday, so did a group of protesters, lining the sidewalk and road just outside.

Van Orden was speaking at the Pearl Street Brewery to members of the chamber about the Big Beautiful Bill while those gathered outside with signs as they chanted "DVO Must Go."

They said the Third Congressional District representative still refuses to meet with his constituents in any town hall setting.

"He does not meet with his constituents, and I regularly am in contact with emails and phone calls," said Barb Wise. "We do not get any direct response from him."
