SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KCAU) — Across the country, more workers are retiring from the skilled trades, including electricians, than are joining the profession. Those numbers are declining in Siouxland as well.
A local project between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Electrical Contractors Association is aiming to shrink that gap; a ribbon-cutting on Thursday in Sergeant Bluff for a brand-new electrical training center.
