IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee meeting on Thursday night confirmed Johnson County is moving forward with plans to build a new jail and law enforcement office. This comes after a survey showed a majority of people would support a bond referendum to build that new facility.
Even with the majority in favor of this potential new facility, many are still questioning the need and the services it could offer.
