St. Clair County, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A sinkhole in St. Clair County has some drivers worried about their safety.

After repairing the road twice before, the road has opened up again on one of the busiest roads near Pell City.

St. Clair County neighbors say they’re afraid and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. They say the issue should have been taken care of the first time.

“Had to take an alternate route when I got off. I travel this road probably two or three times a week on the way home and it’s just kind of scary,” said daily commuter Derek Miller

For the third time since July, a sinkhole opened in the area of AL Hwy 174 and US Hwy 231 near Pell City, with some drivers wondering why this keeps happening.
