LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After spending two decades in her Lincoln home, 78-year-old Sherry Krull is saying goodbye, following last weekend’s windstorms that ripped the roof right off of it.

Left without a place to stay, Krull’s family stepped in to get her back on her feet. She’s currently staying with her daughter, but there’s isn’t enough space to make it a permanent solution.

Her granddaughter, Shayla Krull, said they’ve always been close, and was taken back after seeing what the storm did to her grandma’s home.

“I could not believe it, it’s even worse than what I think I thought it was,” she said.

As Shayla and the rest of the family search for a place for Sherry to stay, cleanup efforts have proved to be another challenge.
