MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Incidents that occurred at an Irvington church are now being investigated by the Mobile County Sheriff's office.

The MCSO is investigating alleged violations of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act and potential witness intimidation connected to the Saint Elmo Seventh Day Adventist Church, led by Robert Wagley.

The witness raised concerns that a registered sex offender held a position within the church and later reported they felt intimidated and faced removal from a church committee. The witness stopped attending due to ongoing pressure.

Other witnesses said they faced the loss of church roles and public removal due to their cooperation with authorities.
