NILES, Mich. (WNDU) - In 2024, Niles football had a lot of firsts. The Vikings won their first regional title and first state semifinal game and made their first state final.
But that’s where those stop, as they lost in the championship .
Now coming off that trip to Ford Field, they’re turning the page to 2025.
“We’re describing ourselves as we’re in a new boat with a new crew,” says head coach Scot Shaw. “Yesterday is history. It’s already been wrapped in yesterday’s newspaper and it’s time to move on. I think our kids are accepting that.”
The Vikings have a lot of experience back from last year, and most of it comes on the line of scrimmage where on offense their line is made up of all upperclassmen.
