PHOENIX — A thunderstorm warning was issued for Maricopa County Thursday night, with gusts of wind up to 50 mph expected.
The warning is in effect for Maricopa County until 10:15 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
NWS said to expect precipitation levels to reach more than half an inch. No hail is expected. NWS advised those to find shelter in a nearby sturdy structure through the duration of the storm.

Mark O’Malley of NWS told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Thursday morning that there would be a 30% chance of rain on Thursday night into Friday morning.
