BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Alexandria trailed 5-0 earlier in the State Amateur Baseball Tournament and rallied to win 6-5.

Thursday night Jared Miller was dominant thru 7 innings with 12 strikeouts and The Canova Gang led 1-0 on Justin Miller’s RBI double. But the Angels broke thru in the 8th scoring 3 times and hung on to win 3-2 as Alex Ferrin tossed a complete game.

In the nightcap, the young Parkston Rays scored 4 runs in the 6th inning to break the game open with Kimball/White Lake and went on to win 6-1. Carter Sommer and Seth Muth each had 3 hits for the Rays and Phil Johnson went the distance giving up just 5 hits and striking out 8.
