Cardinals' Calais Campbell makes announcement on retirement plans

Calais Campbell is one of the most quietly impactful players in the history of the Arizona Cardinals.

He wants to be remembered that way, too.

The legendary 6-foot-8 defensive lineman plans to end his career with the same team he started it with.

He told the Cardinals' team website that he'd "be very surprised if it wasn't," in regards to 2025 being his final season in the NFL.

Campbell came into the league as a second-round pick by the Cardinals in 2008 out of Miami.

He spent his first nine seasons in Arizona. In that span, he played 138 games and had 56.5 sacks, 501 tackles and 42 passes defensed.
