Jets might sign QB who threw 5 interceptions in one half

The New York Jets are short a quarterback.

Tyrod Taylor is expected to miss the rest of training camp, and that creates an opening.

The Jets still have Justin Fields, Adrian Martinez and Brady Cook. But they're looking to add another guy into the passing mix.

On Thursday, they worked out Nathan Peterman and C.J. Beathard to see if they wanted to sign either QB.

Beathard is interesting, a former third-round pick of the 49ers who has made 13 NFL starts.

Peterman is the name that catches the eye, though. The former fifth-round pick of the Buffalo Bills has one of the worst halves in NFL history on his resume.
