LYNNWOOD, Wash. — The owner of a Lynnwood tattoo shop was forced to cancel appointments and temporarily close his business after a thief broke in and stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

Ernesto Hurtado, owner of Wicked Boy Tattoo on 48th Avenue West, discovered the break-in Thursday morning when he arrived to find his shop's door already unlocked.

The thief made off with six tattoo machines, ink and other products essential to the business. Even items stored on high shelves weren't safe — the suspect also took valuable collectibles and other figurines. Hurtado estimates the total loss at about $6,000.
