HONOLULU (Island News) -- A man who is accused of recording several people in bathrooms on Oahu pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday.

Donovan Ranon, 21, is facing eight charges of violation of privacy. He was initially arrested in February, accused of using a recording device in a closed bathroom stall in Moanalua while the victim, a 19-year-old man, was undressed. He was taken into custody for first-degree violation of privacy.

A grand jury later indicted Ranon on seven more counts after additional victims, four men and four women, came forward. Ranon allegedly filmed nine people in several bathrooms in February. This included places like the Navy Exchange, Moanalua High School and someone's home.

Ranon turned himself in at the Pearl City police station on Friday, Aug. 8.
