HONOLULU (Island News) – A Chinatown Neighborhood Board member and a former senate candidate was recently arrested by the Honolulu Police Department (HPD).

According to police documents, 64-year-old Ernest Carvalho was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment early Sunday morning at 2:12 a.m.

The arrest took place at North Hotel St. and Smith St. in the Chinatown area.

Caravalho’s bail was set for $2,000.

Caravalho is the current chair of the Neighborhood Board No.13 Downtown-Chinatown area.
