Bonneville Joint School District 93 celebrated the opening of its new bus barn Wednesday night. District employees, members of the school board, and contractors held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new transportation facility in anticipation of the upcoming school year.

D93 Superintendent Scott Woolstenhulme told the Post Register that the completion of the facility is a decade-long dream realized.

“We actually included this in a bond back in 2014 that was voted down by the patrons,” Woolstenhulme said. “We finished (the construction of) Black Canyon (Middle School), went back to our patrons, (and asked to use the leftover funds) to build a bus garage. ... Between our patrons approving that and us selling some property, we were able to pay for this without any increase in tax dollars.”
