LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The airport connector is a key road to get around Harry Reid International Airport, but some are concerned the lights around the tunnel can impact drivers and passengers alike.

“The airport connector opened 31 years ago and was a game changer for those who live on the south side of the airport,” said Erin Breen, director of the road equity alliance at UNLV. “But over the last 30 years, wear and tear has taken its toll on the aging tunnel. Then there’s the pulsing lights that can be quite distracting to drivers. As the traffic safety person, my fear it’s going to trigger an epileptic seizure in someone who has epilepsy.”

FOX5’s Cone Zone did a check, and it appears that no crashes have been reported due to the pulsing light issue.
