NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Most-humid conditions are still present in East New Mexico, but also in Southwest New Mexico, as showers are mostly just to the west in Arizona. East-gap winds are still calm after yesterday’s spotty storms. Way-above-freezing temperatures are still once again confined to most of the higher peaks of the Northern Mountains with valley floor locations mostly starting off in the upper 40s or in the 50s. Elsewhere is mostly starting off in the high 50s to the lower 70s.
More-persistent southerly winds are forming with more moisture in place as a high pressure system shifts east of New Mexico, so more-widespread heavier rounds of Monsoonal thunderstorms will form as a result. Rain will fall across most areas, except parts of the Four Corners and Eastern New Mexico. With mor
