The Social Security Administration has made it easier for residents with certain health conditions to be approved for disability benefits.

Earlier this week, Social Security officials announced that the administration has added 13 new health conditions to the agency’s Compassionate Allowances list.

Applicants with a condition on the Compassionate Allowances list are eligible for an accelerated disability application process, making it quicker and easier for them to receive benefits.
