FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Fresno Police Department has been approved for a new place to call home.

The Fresno City Council approved the motion during Thursday's meeting, allowing the police department headquarters to be moved from their current location at 2323 Mariposa St. to 2314 Mariposa St.

The decision follows comments from Fresno Police Department employees, stating the current building faces multiple issues, ranging from those affecting the building's integrity to the police department employees' health.
