BAY COUNTY, MI – Consumers Energy announced plans to upgrade high-voltage electric lines in Bay County this weekend, temporarily affecting power service to 1,582 homes and businesses in Mount Forest and Gibson townships.
The maintenance work, part of the company’s Reliability Roadmap initiative, aims to reduce future power outages in the region.
“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers as we carry out this important work,” Consumers Energy’s Vice President of Electric Distribution Chris Laird said in a statement. “Consumers Energy is carrying out this project to reduce the number of power outages in the region and better serve our customers in all weather.”
