GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- The Genesee County Board of Commissioners has given initial approval to naming its primary meeting room in honor of the late Bryant Nolden , a former colleague who died in December 2022.
Commissioners took the action in their first meeting in a new county office building in downtown Flint on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and they could finalize the decision when they meet next week.
Nolden received tributes after his death for his work ethic, decency, and dedication to Flint.
He served as a member of the Flint City Council from 2009 until 2014 and as a county commissioner from 2014 until his death at age 57 on Dec. 7, 2022, just hours after participating in county board meetings.
