The Brief

PHOENIX - We're seeing lingering showers in the Phoenix area after overnight storms hit the Valley.

Today:

Overnight lows will fall into the mid-80s by Friday morning, and the rain will mostly clear out in the Valley, moving through eastern Arizona and the Four Corners before drying out midday.

A flood warning is in effect for parts of Maricopa and Pinal counties through 7 a.m. on Friday.

Overall, Friday will be a dry and slightly cooler, but humid, day. Temperatures will only climb to around 105, which is normal for this time in August.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will redevelop in the Valley and in the High Country, near Flagstaff and the Kaibab Plateau, on Friday evening. These storms will bring the same threats.
