The man dropped off at a Valley hospital after being shot Sunday has been identified by police as 50-year-old Salvador Carrillo.

Officers responded about 4 p.m. Aug. 10 to the hospital near 27 th Avenue and Beardsley Road regarding a person who had been shot. They learned the victim was brought to the hospital where lifesaving measures were attempted, according to a Thursday release. He did not survive.

The scene of the shooting has not been located, an earlier release stated.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest, police said.
