TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Centreville man was killed in a Tuscaloosa crash Thursday evening.

Richard Whaley, 37, was injured when the Ford F-150 pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck several trees around 5:25 p.m. Whaley was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 69 near the 172 mile-marker, approximately 23 miles north of Northport. Nothing else is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
