LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - If you’re thinking about adopting a pet, Laredo Animal Care Services has an opportunity for you this weekend. The shelter will host its 11th annual Clear the Shelter event Saturday, Aug. 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at 5202 Maher Ave.

The event will feature vendor and information booths, a safari-themed raffle, and free adoptions for all pets. Organizers say the goal is to help every animal in the shelter find a home while also connecting the community with pet care resources. The event is free and open to the public.
