President Donald Trump just threw punches at Rocky Balboa.

Trump announced on Wednesday that he will host the Kennedy Center Honors, which will recognize the rock band KISS, actors Sylvester Stallone and Michael Crawford, country singer George Strait and disco singer Gloria Gaynor as the first class of honorees since the president’s takeover of the performing arts destination.

During his remarks, Trump turned to praising Stallone, who created the fictional character and boxing legend of the “Rocky” sports drama franchise. He first called him a “pillar” of American pop culture and a “Hollywood superstar like few others” — but then pivoted.
