BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor City staff have met with representatives of a facility offering permanent housing for those at risk of homelessness in hopes to welcome new tenants in the next couple of weeks.

The announcement came from the Bangor City manager during a council meeting Monday evening.

Carollynn Lear told the council representatives from Theresa’s Place in Bangor said future residents will be moving in eminently, however the move-ins will be staggered for a quality move-in experience.

Which could take more than a few weeks.

Lear said in the discussion they asked representatives from Theresa’s Place to meet with the council to provide an update on the project and where they expect to be moving forward.
