LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The young mother who was shot and killed near a JCPS bus stop was targeted, according to Louisville police.
In a press conference on Friday, Aug. 15, LMPD said that surveillance video shows the suspect aiming at 23-year-old Redaja Williams while she was walking her young child to the bus stop before shooting her. Since no one else was hit in the shooting and the shooter was far away, LMPD believes Williams was targeted. Police said they could not yet speak on the possible motive of the shooter.
