A man did some ugly things at three Waterloo Region beauty salons.

In January 2024 at 11 p.m., he used a metal pipe to smash the front glass door of Oro Salon on Northfield Drive East in Waterloo.

The man, 42, “ransacked the interior,” smashed many items and left the business in “complete disarray,” Crown prosecutor Harsimran Sidhu told Kitchener court Wednesday.

He caused $10,000 damage and fled with goods worth thousands of dollars. He left a drop of blood inside.

Last August, just before midnight, he smashed the front window of the Frenzi Hair Salon in Kitchener with a brick, Sidhu said.

He stole $1,300 from the King Street East business and fled, leaving blood on the front door and the brick.
