LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Kansas head coach Bill Self said he’s ready to coach again following a recent health scare that hospitalized him.
“I’m feeling pretty good,” Self said after having two stents inserted to treat blocked arteries in late July. “They’ve asked me and told me that I could have some improvements in my lifestyle and life choices, primarily with food and exercise.”
The recent hospital visit for Self comes two years after he was hospitalized during the 2023 Big 12 Tournament, missing three games during the tournament and two more during the NCAA Tournament that season.
Self admitted he had more things going on that he hasn’t -- and won’t -- share, but said there are similarities between the two incidents. The 62-year-old Jayhawks coach said if there were games or practices
