Nobody knows what to expect from this year’s UCF football team, but that didn’t keep fans from packing Addition Financial Arena for the program’s annual kickoff luncheon on Friday.
Despite the uncertainty, nearly 900 guests turned out in droves for the event.
The enthusiasm was palpable as attendees welcomed new head coach, Scott Frost , along with his team, with a mix of cheers and applause. Frost, who had previously led UCF from 2016 to 2017, was genuinely impressed by the enthusiastic turnout.
It’s been eight years since Frost last coached the Knights, leaving the program to return home to coach at Nebraska. After nearly five seasons, Frost parted ways with the Cornhuskers before eventually winding up as an analyst with the Los Angeles Rams.
